How much does a LinkedIn ads agency cost?

By B2B Buyer Lab editorial team · Published

A LinkedIn agency fee pays for people and services. Ad spend pays for distribution. Keep those two budgets separate before comparing proposals. The offers below were checked on 5 October 2026 and show what individual providers publish, not a market-wide average.

The named management packages below start at $1,400 to $5,500 a month, with different spend limits and responsibilities. Setup, creative and minimum terms can change the total. A $3,000 management quote does not mean you have a $3,000 advertising budget.

Quick comparison

Compare the options, then read the scope and trade-offs below.

How to read these prices

These are publicly advertised offers, selected because the scope or pricing terms could be inspected. We did not collect negotiated quotes or a representative sample of the market. Do not use the range as an average or a promise that your brief will qualify.

Dollar amounts retain the providers’ published notation. Confirm currency, taxes and payment terms in the proposal. Management and advertising budgets are separate. We have not filled missing fees with estimates.

Calculate the total before comparing the retainer

Use this budget formula: media spend + management + creative and landing pages + tools + setup. For a multi-month comparison, multiply recurring items by the number of months and add one-time costs once. Then add internal review time separately.

Worked example using B2Linked’s published small-account offer: $10,000 monthly media + $3,000 management = $13,000 recurring. With $1,000 setup, month one is $14,000 and three months total $40,000, before other costs. This is arithmetic from the listed terms, not a quote or a recommended budget.

For a hypothetical alternative at $2,000 management plus $2,000 creative, the agency-related monthly cost is $4,000. A $3,000 offer including the required creative would cost less overall. Check volume and revisions before deciding the packages are equivalent.

How do spend-based fees work?

Ask whether a percentage applies to the whole advertising budget or only the portion above a threshold. These can produce very different invoices. Also ask whether the fee follows planned spend, actual spend or invoiced spend.

Remotion’s Scale Up tier lists $5,500 plus 15% of spend between $25,000 and $50,000. At $40,000 media spend, the published formula gives $5,500 + 15% × $15,000 = $7,750 management. Confirm custom requirements and any extras.

A flat retainer can still change at a spending threshold or when you add markets and creative. Ask for a quote at your current budget and at the next planned budget so scaling does not create a surprise.

Creative production is a separate buying decision

Ask the agency to list finished assets, concepts and revision rounds. Copywriting, creative direction and design production are different deliverables. A suggestion to make a new video is not the video itself.

Include landing pages and the offer behind the ad. Someone must write the page, build it, test it, connect the form and approve changes. If that is your team, make room for it in the calendar.

For video, clarify who records, edits, captions and supplies usage rights. For interviews or customer stories, decide who secures participation and approval. Get the delivery schedule before approving the campaign launch date.

What if the agency’s own pages disagree?

Getuplead’s package table starts at $1,400, while its FAQ describes a broader $1,200–$3,000 fee range. Sculpt’s pricing page says paid social starts at $5,000; its service FAQ describes $4,200–$10,000 blended engagements. These may reflect different scopes or updates. We show the distinction rather than selecting the cheapest number.

Impactable also offers content and lighter retargeting packages. Those should not be compared with a full management retainer without checking what work is included. Ask the provider to name the package and attach its deliverables to the proposal.

What should the contract spell out?

Request the minimum term, cancellation notice, setup charges, pause policy, asset ownership and handover obligations. If you cancel, you should know what you receive and when access ends.

Keep the company’s ownership of its ad account, CRM data and landing pages clear. Ask for your own access to performance data, not just screenshots in a report. Agree on who can approve budget increases and campaign changes.

Include a monthly list of deliverables and a process for work outside scope. Define whether unused creative rolls over. A flexible retainer is only useful if both sides understand how priorities and capacity change.

When is the fee worth paying?

Judge the agency on the work it removes from your team and the quality of the decisions it makes. If the only output is a monthly dashboard, ask who is testing offers, diagnosing rejected leads and making changes.

Compare cost per accepted opportunity alongside lead volume and cost per lead. Include fees when calculating acquisition costs for budgeting. An ad-platform return figure may omit creative, management and other costs.

If you already have a capable operator, a focused audit can be a better first purchase than full management. If you have no operator or design support, price the full delivery team rather than comparing a retainer with one employee’s salary.
