Aptitude 8 vs New Breed: which HubSpot agency should you choose?

By B2B Buyer Lab editorial team · Published

Both Aptitude 8 and New Breed can help you set up HubSpot and connect it to other software. The main difference is what else you need. Aptitude 8 focuses on the technical work. New Breed also offers websites and marketing campaigns.

Start with Aptitude 8 if you already have marketers and need help making HubSpot work properly. Start with New Breed if you also need an agency to build your website or run marketing. If you only need to connect HubSpot to another system, ask both for a proposal.

What is the main difference?

Aptitude 8 describes itself as a technical consultancy. It explicitly says it does not provide marketing content, campaigns or creative agency work. You can consider it for the HubSpot setup while your own team or another agency handles the marketing.

New Breed offers HubSpot setup alongside marketing, websites and software integrations. That makes it worth considering if you need help with several of those jobs. Ask what the quote includes; the services are not necessarily sold together.

How their implementation processes compare

Aptitude 8 starts with requirements and data design, then builds the configuration and integrations. Its process includes testing against documented requirements, training and a controlled launch. This is relevant when several teams must share a consistent set of customer records and workflows.

New Breed starts by auditing the existing systems and documenting the planned configuration. It then builds the setup and provides live training for different user roles. Its implementation page also covers dashboards and automation.

The practical distinction is emphasis, not an exclusive capability. Both describe technical implementation and training. In a proposal, compare the actual records, workflows, integrations and handover materials each will deliver.

What do we know about timing and cost?

New Breed publishes an approximate three-month implementation timeline, with scope and client availability affecting the schedule. We did not establish an equivalent standard timeline for Aptitude 8 from its implementation page. That leaves no basis for calling either company faster.

Neither reviewed implementation page provides a directly comparable fixed price for the same project. A monthly operations service, an onboarding package and a custom migration are different purchases. Comparing those figures as if they were implementation quotes would be misleading.

For a meaningful price comparison, use one brief: the same Hubs, source data, integrations, user groups, launch requirements and support period. Add software subscriptions separately, then compare the total cost over the same period.

Both can help connect your software

Both companies publish dedicated HubSpot integration services. If you need HubSpot to exchange information with another system, speak to both. Ask how they would build the connection and maintain it.

List the software you use, what information needs to move between systems and how often it needs to update. If someone changes a customer record in both systems, ask which version will be kept and how your team will be alerted to a problem.

Ask each company to explain how it will test the connection and who will fix it after launch. Those answers will tell you more than a broad description of technical expertise.

If you need someone to run marketing too

New Breed is the more relevant starting point if the job includes attracting potential customers, creating campaigns or building a website. Ask who will write the content, run the campaigns and report on the results. Get those tasks listed separately from the HubSpot setup.

With Aptitude 8, you will need someone else to handle that marketing work. If you use separate teams, agree who coordinates the launch and checks that website enquiries reach the right salesperson.

Ask both companies for these details

Ask who will work on your project, what they will deliver and when. If you are changing CRMs, include checking the moved data and training your staff in the agreed work.

We do not have comparable prices, delivery times or client results for the two firms. We cannot say one is cheaper or faster. Send both the same description of the job and compare the actual proposals.

For ongoing support, ask how much help is included and how quickly problems will be handled. If the work includes custom code, ask who owns it and whether another developer could take over later.

Which would we choose?

If the main problem is the HubSpot setup and you already have marketing covered, we would start with Aptitude 8. Its stated focus matches that job.

If you need HubSpot plus a website or marketing campaigns, we would start with New Breed. Ask for a clear division of work so you know what you are paying for.

For a migration or software connection alone, we would compare both proposals. Choose based on their plan for your systems, the people assigned to the project and the help available after launch.
