# B2B agency pricing transparency: a 20-agency snapshot

By B2B Buyer Lab editorial team · 2026-10-05

A starting price can help you decide whether an agency belongs on your shortlist. But it only helps if you know what that price buys. We examined pricing observations for 20 distinct agencies in our SEO, content and ABM shortlists to see what a buyer could learn before asking for a quote.

Eight of the 20 agencies (40%) had a numerical price recorded on the pages reviewed from 3–5 October 2026. The other 12 did not. This describes our selected sample, not the whole market. The published prices covered different services and billing units, so they cannot be combined into a meaningful average agency cost.

## Sample results

| Shortlist | Agencies in category | Numerical price recorded |
| --- | --- | --- |
| SEO | 8 | 4 |
| Content | 8 | 4 |
| ABM | 6 | 1 |

## What we counted

This is an analysis of our existing shortlist research from 3–5 October 2026. The sample includes every agency in our eight-agency SEO shortlist, eight-agency content shortlist and six-agency ABM shortlist. Grow and Convert and Ten Speed appear in both SEO and content, leaving 20 distinct agencies. We counted each agency once in the overall result.

We counted a numerical price when a reviewed page supplied a fee or starting price for a relevant service. A price for one case study counts, as does a monthly program or a planning project. It does not mean the agency publishes a complete rate card. Twelve agencies had no numerical fee recorded on the pages reviewed. That does not establish that no price exists elsewhere on their websites.

This is a small, curated sample chosen for our buying guides. It is not a random survey, a market-wide estimate or a ranking of transparency. Category counts overlap and should not be added to calculate the number of unique agencies. The downloadable record includes dates, source URLs, scope notes and both priced and unpriced observations.

## Monthly fees still buy different amounts of work

Embarque’s recorded starting price is $1,500 per month for one selected service. Breaking B2B lists plans from $4,000 per month and six- or twelve-month programs. Grow and Convert lists full-service SEO and GEO management from $10,000 per month. These figures are entry points for different scopes, not interchangeable quotes.

Rock The Rankings separates strategy from execution: strategy starts at $5,000 per month, while done-for-you work starts at $8,500. Its $15,000 diagnostic sprint is a separate one-time offer. Draft.dev lists plans from $9,000 per month with a three-month initial commitment.

For a buyer, the first comparison should be the work left with your team. Who writes, edits, publishes and implements recommendations? A strategy retainer can require substantial internal production time. Ask for an itemized scope before deciding which monthly fee is lower for your actual needs.

## Separate individual assets, planning and ongoing delivery

Uplift Content lists case studies from $750 each. Its FAQ also describes a possible $250–$500 onboarding fee. That is useful for budgeting a customer story, but it is not the price of an ongoing content program.

Column Five lists a $25,000 four-week Foundation Sprint, implementation at $60,000–$150,000 over eight to sixteen weeks, and ongoing operation at $15,000–$45,000 per month. These are separate stages. Ask which stage you need and what you can use independently afterward.

Iron Horse lists an eight-week Integrated ABM Program starting at $25,000 per market segment. Execution, media management, analytics and optimization are add-ons. Its separate GTM Assessment starts at $50,000. Do not treat the planning price as an all-in campaign budget.

Because the units and scopes differ, we have not calculated an average agency fee. Mixing a single asset, an eight-week planning project and a monthly retainer would produce a number that does not describe anything a buyer can actually purchase.

## Where a quote is still needed

The reviewed records did not contain a numerical fee for Ten Speed, Powered by Search, Konstruct Digital, SimpleTiger, Beam Content, Codeless, Velocity Partners / Pretzl, The Marketing Practice, The ABM Agency, Transmission, MomentumABM or 2X.

This is an information gap for a buyer, not evidence that these agencies are expensive or poor value. Send the same scope to your finalists. Ask them to separate the initial setup, recurring work, media, software and optional services. Compare the total commitment over the same period.

## Turn the starting price into a usable budget

Write down the result you need, the deliverables you expect and the work your team can supply. Then ask each agency for a quote that states the minimum term, payment schedule, setup fees, revision limits, usage rights and handover materials.

For example, a hypothetical $5,000 monthly fee with a six-month minimum is a $30,000 fee commitment before any extras. A $7,000 monthly proposal that includes production might require less internal work than a cheaper advisory package. The comparison needs both cash cost and staff time.

Check whether advertising spend, data subscriptions, specialist interviews, design, development and publishing are included. Request the current terms in writing. Published prices help you rule options in or out; the final proposal determines what you are buying.

## Compare agencies by the work you need

Use the category shortlists to compare services and project fit. The pricing record is supporting evidence for that decision, not a substitute for checking relevant work and talking to the proposed delivery team.
